Stan Oakley  Welcome back to everyone for our eleven week term two. Thank you to all parents who kept a watchful eye over the school grounds over the holiday period and also to those parents who attended our working bee last Sunday to undertake the many tasks necessary to prepare our grounds and buildings for the start of term. A special thank you to Dale Anderson & David Metzke who cut up a large tree branch that fell over the Valerie St fence line and also repaired the damaged fence.

During the holiday period all existing line markings have been repainted and the staff car park area marked out following the work that occurred at the start of the year. Please note that no students should enter or exit the school through the car park gate - nor should it be used by parents as a pick up and drop off area.

Works have also been completed to upgrade our internal school computer network and the gym and nearby corridor have been brightened up with a fresh coat of paint.

At our first assembly for Term 2 our student elected Student Representative Council (SRC) were presented with their badges by Mr Bach (Assistant Principal) & Miss Strachan (Grade 6 Teacher).

I look forward to the SRC input into school operations via their fortnightly meetings conducted under the guidance of Mrs Rhonda Jacobs. I also welcome Miss Lina Tashlik to our teaching staff. Miss Tashlik (former student of Tucker Road) replaces Ms Kerrie Gentner who is on leave during Term 2. Our best wishes are also extended to Mrs Tam Faiman (1F) who commences family leave next Monday. Mrs Lisa Atto is welcomed as the class teacher of 1F for the remainder of 2012.

Stan Oakley, Principal
